The Jammu and Kashmir administration has formed two districtlevel committees to review the work on construction of Katra-Banihal section ofthe rail project, officials said Thursday.
"Sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution offollowing committees to review the progress of work on construction ofKatra-Banihal section of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla railway link," anorder issued by the General Administration Department reads.The administrationhas formed two committees -- one each for Ramban and Reasi districts -- withrespective deputy commissioners of the districts functioning as the chairmen. Theother members of the committee for Ramban include SSP of the district,additional deputy commissioner, chief engineer Northern Railway, SDM Gool andchief general manager IRCON.
